Real systems, running in real businesses.

An ordering and ERP platform for a distributor

A growing distributor needed one system to run purchasing, stock, and sales, and a simple way for its trade customers to order online.

Sector
Wholesale and distribution
Scope
Staff and customer portals covering products, inventory, purchasing, orders, warehouse, invoicing, and shipping, with multi-currency support. Connected to the existing in-store and online systems so products, prices, and customers stay in step automatically.
Outcome
Customers order online around the clock and always see the right price for them. Pricing rules live in one place instead of several, so every price is consistent and can be explained. Less re-keying for staff, and the whole order process is covered by automated tests.

Live RFID tracking on a production floor

A manufacturer needed to know where every part of every order was, without anyone scanning or counting by hand.

Sector
Manufacturing
Scope
RFID labels printed as parts are made, and readers placed at key points through the plant. Middleware that works with different reader types, filters out duplicate reads, turns readings into meaningful events, and connects them to the business systems. Live updates on shop-floor tablets and office screens.
Outcome
Real-time visibility of every order as it moves through production. Supervisors see progress by area and by finished product instead of walking the floor to count, and problems show up while there’s still time to act.

Case study 03 · Performance & reliability

Faster reporting, and quality checks off paper

Managers relied on a dashboard that had become slow enough to time out, and quality checks were still recorded on paper.

Sector
Manufacturing
Scope
Traced the slow dashboard to reports doing far more work than needed, and rewrote them to fetch only what’s on screen. Separately, built a tablet app for quality testing that records each result against the right order and product, with photos and notes on any failure.
Outcome
Dashboards that used to time out now open in moments, with no new hardware. Quality results are captured where the testing happens, so they’re complete, searchable, and ready for audits.

How these projects ran

The same steady approach.

01

Start with the real problem

Time on the floor or at the desk with the people doing the work, before any design.

02

Build in small, useful steps

Working pieces early, tested against real data and existing systems, not a big reveal at the end.

03

Prove it, then support it

Tested end to end before anyone relies on it, and looked after once it’s live.
