About · 25+ years in the industry
I’m an independent software engineer. For more than 25 years I’ve designed, built, and run business applications, websites, and the servers behind them, for organizations of every size around the world. You work with me directly, from the first conversation to long after launch.
Experience
My experience covers the whole technology stack: software engineering, web development, and hardware and server administration. That breadth matters. When a system runs slowly, loses data, or doesn’t connect with the rest of the business, the cause is rarely in one place. I can follow a problem from the server and the database through to the screen your team uses, and fix it where it starts.
I’ve delivered enterprise business systems, customer portals, integrations, device software, and websites, both web-based and standalone. Decades of seeing what lasts mean I can recommend platforms that won’t need replacing in a few years, and avoid building more than you need. The result is advanced, dependable software at a sensible cost.
I take on a limited number of projects at a time, so each one gets my full attention. You get a senior engineer on every part of the work, not a sales team and a rotating cast of developers.
Technical background
Over the years I’ve worked across a wide range of programming languages, platforms, and tools. That range means I can take on anything from a small script that saves your team an hour a day to a full custom application, and maintain the systems you already rely on, all within a budget that makes sense for the work.
Beyond application development, I put AI models, spreadsheet automation, and automated data parsing to work on the repetitive tasks that slow a business down: reading documents, reconciling reports, and moving data between systems. The result is less manual effort, fewer errors, and more time for the work that matters.
