Privacy

Privacy policy.

The short version: this site doesn’t track you, and anything you send me is only used to reply to you.

Who I am

This website belongs to JUSTIN WEEDMARK, an independent software engineering practice based in Canada. I’m responsible for any personal information you share through it. You can reach me at websupport@justinweedmark.com.

What I collect

I only collect what you choose to send me. If you use the contact form or email me, that’s usually your name, email address, company, and whatever you write about your project, plus an optional timeline and budget range.

This site doesn’t use analytics, advertising, tracking cookies, or social media trackers. Like any website, the web server keeps standard technical logs (such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested) to keep the site running securely. Those logs aren’t used to identify you.

How I use it

I use your information to reply to you, understand your project, and, if we work together, to manage that work. I don’t sell it, rent it, or add you to a mailing list.

Who else sees it

Nobody, except the services needed to run this site and my email: my web hosting provider and my email provider and, if the contact form uses a form-delivery service, that service. They only handle your information to deliver it to me. Some of these providers may store data outside Canada, in which case it’s subject to the laws of that country.

I’ll only share your information with anyone else if you ask me to, or if the law requires it.

How long I keep it

If we don’t end up working together, I delete inquiry emails within two years. If we do, I keep project correspondence for as long as needed for the work and for tax and legal record-keeping.

Keeping it safe

The site is served over a secure connection, and I use reasonable safeguards to protect what you send me. Please don’t send passwords or sensitive personal information through the contact form or by email.

Your rights

Under Canadian privacy law, including British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act, you can ask to see the personal information I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or withdraw your consent and ask me to delete it. Just email websupport@justinweedmark.com and I’ll respond within 30 days.

If you’re not happy with how I’ve handled a request, you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.

Changes

If this policy changes, I’ll update this page and the date at the top.
